Felicity Ross is a teacher of gifted children at a public elementary/middle school in Baltimore City. She has an academic background in mathematics, psychology and gifted and talented education. She teaches in the graduate School of Education at Johns Hopkins University and also works with the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. She began her career through Teach for America, and almost immediately began dating the teacher across the hall.

Today, she and that teacher across the hall (now her husband of 24 years) are the proud parents of three kids ages 20, 18 and 15. She first learned about Kindness Grows Here when her two younger kids received a Kid Kindness grant. She introduced her students to the grant writing process and was thrilled when her students’ projects were funded. She has since supported numerous other students in applying for and receiving grants. Now as a board member, she is excited to spread the word about this empowering program, and will encourage other educators to support children in applying.

When Felicity isn't actively working as an educator or volunteering for Kindness Grows Here, she can be found spending time with her family, reading, hiking, traveling and baking.
