Ray Feldmann is a respected communications professional with more than 30 years’ experience in public affairs, media relations, crisis communication, issues management, media strategy, government relations, and community outreach. A former print journalist, Ray later served as a media spokesperson for several Maryland agencies including the departments of Environment and Transportation. As part of his state government career, Ray served as Press Secretary for two successive Maryland governors.

After leaving Maryland state government, for the next eight years Ray held increasingly responsible communications positions with the Washington, DC Metro transit system. Following eight years at Metro, Ray became a senior public relations manager at a private sector communications firm and later served as Senior Director of Communications at Towson University, his alma mater.

Following five years at Towson, Ray launched Feldmann Communications Strategies in May 2018. His current list of clients includes Annapolis Pride Inc., a family law attorney, two authors, two country/folk singers, a nonprofit that operates six Baltimore City public charter schools, the Purple Line light rail project, and several women-owned small businesses including a veterinary hospital.

Ray is a strong believer and a vocal proponent for women’s rights, literacy, education, the environment and sustainability, and, of course, spreading kindness throughout the county. He is also active as a leader with St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church. Ray lives in Annapolis with his wife, communications professional Christine Duray Feldmann, and their two Anne Arundel County public school children.
